Preparation Before Camp

Ensure your child wears appropriate clothing for the weather. Label jackets and sweatshirts to avoid mix-ups.

Sneakers or proper golf shoes (spikeless or soft spikes) are required.

Fanshawe Golf School is not responsible for lost or damaged personal items. Cell phones are permitted for emergencies but must be kept away during lessons and breaks.

Security & Risk Management

Campers may be dropped off from 8:45 AM and must be picked up by 12:00 PM for half-day campers or 3:00 PM for full-day campers. Parents must sign in their children and provide any necessary information during drop-off.

Only individuals listed on the authorized pick-up list may collect campers. A government-issued photo ID is required for those not recognized by staff. Parents or guardians must sign out their campers at the end of each day.

Behavior Management

Fanshawe Golf School staff are trained to address inappropriate behavior in a positive and constructive manner. If issues persist, parents will be notified. We enforce a zero-tolerance policy.

Actions such as bullying, stealing, and disrespecting staff or property will not be tolerated. Campers exhibiting such behaviors may be suspended or expelled from the camp without a refund.

Incidents will be documented, and parents will be informed. Continued issues may result in removal from camp.

Health & Safety

We welcome campers with special needs and strive to provide the appropriate support. Parents may arrange for personal care workers, who must be approved by the parent/guardian and assume full responsibility during lessons and camps.

Any medication must be provided to the Camp Director or a head coach in its original container, labeled with instructions and the camper's name. Written consent for administering medication is required before the start of camp.

Please indicate any severe allergies, diabetes, or other conditions on the camper’s application form.

Sick children cannot return to camp without a doctor's note. Parents must pick up ill campers within 30 minutes of being notified.

In case of injury, parents will be notified immediately. Our staff are CPR certified, and first aid kits are readily available.

Campers should bring sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, and a water bottle. Parents are encouraged to apply sunscreen before drop-off.

General Information

Campers should bring healthy snacks and lunch. A Lunch Plan is available for purchase, or parents can arrange lunches directly with the Clubhouse Restaurant.

Lost items will be collected and kept in the main camp tent. Please clearly label all belongings. Unclaimed items will be donated at the end of the camp season.

While cell phones and other electronics are allowed, they must be handed over to coaches for safekeeping throughout the day.

Campers under the age of 8 must be accompanied by a coach to the bathroom. Campers must inform their coach before leaving the group to use the bathroom.

Check your child’s backpack daily to ensure no other camper’s belongings have been accidentally taken. Clearly label all items with the camper's name and contact information.
